The Colombian Senator Piedad Córdoba met the chief of the delegation of the International Red Cross, Christopher Beney, in order to coordinate details on the possible release of some hostages by the Farc guerrillas.
The Colombian broadcasting, Caracol Radio, said that it received reports from humanitarian sources stating that the meeting was positive. The delegation of the International Red Cross advanced that the subject should be deal with prudence.
The Farc guerrilla promised since last December to release some hostages, among them the politicians Alan Jara and Sigifredo López and four policemen and soldiers.
However, the International Red Cross will not conform the commion to receive the hostages, according to its words.
